Planning to become a police officer, military or other emergency service? Then look no further. I have done the testing and trained with officers and applicants over the past 20years for the Police and Military fitness testing. I understand the demands of the test’s and what it takes to not only succeed, but to succeed well.
Training will include but not limited to:
- Strategies to be more efficient on the course.
- Improving your cardiovascular fitness to meet the demands of the course.
- Improving your strength for the push/pull and weight carry through specific strength training exercises.
- Take home workouts to improve fitness outside of individual training sessions.
I have done the POPAT a number of times over the years, and have also done the PARE. I know and understanding of what’s needed for it. Since the PARE is based off of the POPAT, training for both is similar, but there is one key difference that makes the POPAT a little more difficult to pass then the PARE.
Check out PAPS video on POPAT training. RCMP also have PARE training video, and Alberta the APCAT, VPD has POPAT and COPAT video’s that you can check out its all free no cost. Some good tips and demos in there for you to check out. If you live in the Saskatoon area and would like help with training, feel free to email me at fitness2j2@yahoo.com
